Gotham High

Hey everybody! We have a huge treat in store for you this week from the Jeff and Celeste vault of awesomeness. Batman is both mine and Celeste's favorite superhero and some time about a year and a half ago, we were approached to create a spec series based off of an old drawing of mine that we then sent to DC. Unfortunately, the project got lost in the sea of all the other Batman related projects in the works. But hey, it was still fun to make.

The Story Synopsis:
We all go through incredible changes as teenagers: growth spurts, bad skin, a sudden insatiable need to uphold justice and avenge your murdered parents…. Well, that is if you’re Bruce Wayne.
As if being a freshman at Gotham High wasn’t tough enough, Bruce’s insomnia and technological fascinations are taking their toll. Instead of spending his time studying, he has begun to obsess over an emerging personality trait: Batman. But under the watchful eye of his guardian and steward, Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce is forced to put his intelligence to good use: graduating high school. But given his classmates, can Bruce survive Gotham High?

HA. I love it. It would be so awesome if it were done right. And even though I have an undying love for the Joker as my favorite villian, I must say, Croc ftw.

Awww man! I would definitely buy this! TT-TT Soooo waaaannnnttt~!

I'd love to see this)It'd made quite a fan-treat alternative spin-off from the main storylines))

You guys did a great job. I would definitely have watched this show. I'm sorry it didn't get picked up.

I am very sad this didn't get made. The design work, the plot, OMG I love it. This would be an amazing series. Any chance you can re-approuch DC with all this positive feedback and see if you can get the greenlight again?

Um, why isn't this a tv show yet?

I adore The Riddler, and Two Face. They're brilliant!

you should definitely try again, id try comedy central

Great stuff! It reminds me a little of the late, lamented "Clone High." Please pitch this again sometime -- looks like an awful lot of fun!

Anonymous said...

It could be a wonderful reimagining of the characters! sort of a peter parker batman.
One thing. Croc was a black man, maybe you should have bent him that way as there are no people of color in your lineup. Even bane doesn't look hispanic.

Anonymous said...

The concept of what exactly Bruce Wayne was doing in his younger years before he became either millionaire playboy or the Batman is an interesting one. That entire portion of his life has been glossed over as far as I can tell.

However, come on! All of Batman's rogue's gallery happened to go to the same high school in the bustling urban sprawl that is Gotham? And Harvey Dent already being Two Face doesn't make a lick of sense. If it was something like Smallville where a handful of recognizable characters were around in their younger forms it would be a decent enough idea. The entire concept just begs for a new cast of characters to be introduced. Teenage angst is a pretty viable market to be exploited and Bruce Wayne is likely to have it in spades, but I feel like the concept was gone about wrong here.

Unless this was intended as a hammy sort of thing more in the vein of Brave and the Bold where things aren't particularly taken very seriously. Then its all good.

I want this to exist. Its so delightfully amusing!

soooooo cool! those crazys that turned this down need to get their heads on straight, because this is insane good! And it'd work for all ages, so it'd be good for ratings and all that jazz studios want. my sisters and I, (ages 4,7,11 and 15) all would watch it. my cousin's (guys and girls) would watch it. half my school would watch it (though some would deny it ;)) perfect show, and it really needs to air.

Ryan said...

Maybe instead of a tv show, you could take this concept into the webcomic arena? You've garnered a few positive comments about it, which tells me people would like to see more.

Martin Gray said...

What a spiffy idea, and so cute looking. I hope something comes of this.

Anonymous said...

Wow! That would be awesome! I have but one question tho, might sound stupid, but... Where's Robin? O.o I mean... at least Dick? ><

Xenos said...

As a one off or joke strip, yes, this is funny. Yet as an actual series with all the time, effort, and funding that goes into one? No thank you. It's like a studios cliche wet dream. This is like Smallville applied to Batman. Next you might as well pitch a Batman Babies series. Unless you do this as purely parody, you flush the character down the toilet in this cliche "...but in high school" pitch.

Though, again, the art is very nice and it'd make an awesome fun joke comic strip.

Anonymous said...

Honestly, the pictures are awesome and I would love to see more. But I would never watch this as a show. Its like when they turned the X-Men into teenagers. It was kinda of a great concept, but a failed project.

Though I would follow it if it was turned into a web-comic.

Mordrun said...

Posted an article about this on Nerdbastards. Hope you like it.

ComixFan28 said...

Just saw this whole story posted over on Blastr.com, and I have to say it was a real punch in the fan gut. This show would have worked in spades, and would have been the perfect counter balance to Young Justice had it aired on the same network. The Art alone, which is brilliant, would have made the show worth watching. Had it been coupled with some smart dialogue this would have been a hit.

(Sigh) Yet again, DC's potential gain getting bogged down with Warner Bros mishandling of the DCU IPs. I hope this project is still on thier radar and that we might see it sooner rather then later. Even a Web-Series would be pretty damn fantastic.

P.S. Loved your Selina Kyle. Kinda made me wousers in my trousers...but not in a perverted way, just a nerd way.

DJ Smeg said...

Okay, I have to say that the initial fan art is really cute and even some of the spec art gives me a smile. Good on ya'.

That being stated, I have to say that this thing dying is for the best as if this had been made it's utter and complete wrongness would have actually ripped apart spacetime. We are all safer not having had to have seen one second of something that would have made Smallville look like Shakespeare.

Benjamin Crawshaw said...

I would've loved to have this show on! I know it's a quirky concept, but we all have to have a sense of fun every now and then.

The Archivist said...

I love the image on Ivy's poster for student body president.

Anonymous said...

After this, you should be barred from animating anything ever again.

Miss Michael said...

Looks like it would have been fun.

While having all the characters at the same high school and already in their villainous forms may be canonically incorrect, there's nothing wrong with having a little fun with the characters by placing them in this setting. I like the way the characters were re-imagined.

As for the negative comparisons to Smallville, I think you can get away with a lot in an animated format.

joelaarhus said...

Would be better as a fan made comic rather than a cartoon.

This is fantastic. What a brilliant take on characters who could use a lighthearted renaissance like this.

I was about to ask where Robin fits into the mix, but given how young everyone is, he's probably just a gleam in an acrobat's eye, huh?

Bad Interferons said...

I saw a link to this elsewhere. As some other people have said, I think it's a fun little idea and I can see why Warner Bros thought it might make them money ("It's Batman meets X-Men: Evolution!"), but I don't think it has anything in common with the concept or theme of Batman — actually, I think it flies in the face of Batman's basic nature.

Lots of superheroes are defined in part by who they are when they're out of costume, their interpersonal relationships and personal lives and the way their heroing conflicts with that. Putting characters like that — Spider-Man, Superman — in high school makes perfect sense, because it's just another venue for interpersonal drama. But Batman is defined in part by the fact he *doesn't* have all that, his whole life is in service of this mission he's taken on.

Add onto that how much you have to stretch things to make his entire rogues gallery his classmates — and yeah, I'm glad they didn't end up going for it. But like I said, it looks nice, and congratulations for getting DC's attention! BTW, I LOVE the Twisted Princesses, and that Feudal Era TMNT is great!

Looks absolutely terrible, generic "make it in highschool" stuff.

We have Vampires in highschool, DBZ in highschool, superheroes in highschool and now Batman in highschool.

Stop with this high school nonsense, its unoriginal and quite frankly VERY GAY.

Two words: Dick Grayson. And then, this will be acceptable.

Very cool concept, I want to see it happen! Is that Jonathan Crane in between Bruce and Catwoman? Also, for everyone mentioning Dick Grayson, when Bruce was a teenager, wouldn't Dick have been just a toddler? Then again bending the rules is always fun.

Could only be non-canon. and would you really fear a teenage Joker who isn't homocidal? If he was homicidal, how could he be in high school?

I think that even though we may never get this as a series, would you consider making an artbook for it? I adore these images and I know that while many fans may not enjoy it as a series, for a giggle worthy artbook filled with your fantastic work, I think it would be a big hit.

FloppinJ said...

Wow, high school looks almost exactly like my little brother. Even the hair, if it wasn't green.

If this was an actual series, I feel it would be extraordinarily lame, but this concept art was really cool to see.

This is fantastic!! I love this idea!

To all the naysayers I remind them of X-Men Evolution.

My only small tiff with this is Barbara Gordon since she's supposed to date Dick Grayson. Why not Vicky Vale the reporter? She would have been perfect for the school newspaper!

Anonymous said...

I'm so glad this dumb cash in piece of $#!+ never happened. With so many stupid comic ideas to animate, why come up with complete retardation?

Anonymous said...

Lemme guess where you're going with all this: on the day before graduation, Bruce dresses up in dark robes, brings his arsenal of home made weapons to class, traps all his freaky classmates in the school cafeteria and finally dipenses vigilante justice on all their asses?

No?

Anonymous said...

I would've watched this. But Babs looking jealously at Bruce/Selina bothers the hell out of me.

This show needs more Dick Greyson.

I'd so watch this! Though Barbara looking jealous because of Bruce/Selina is so wrong... Please include Dick here somewhere! Make Bruce the sophomore and Dick the freshman :P

t3hon3andonlyBatman said...

To the people who like this idea, I don't think you quite get the point. This show ruins the entire characterization of batman and his foes/allies. Batman is truly about how a kid goes through life without parents and avenges their deaths by fighting crime. The Joker is an insane mass-murdering psychopath. The Penguin is a secret crime-lord. Victor Fries underwent a tragic accident resulting in the loss of his wife. Harvey Dent's values of good and evil became warped as he investigated the Calender Man murders, culminating in acid thrown in his face during a trial. Never mind how they would explain these characters in a high school incarnation, but how the holy hell would they show these characters all getting along in typical high school situations? It totally trivializes the character.

To the person talking about X-Men Evolution, that makes sense because when Scott, Jean Grey, etc. first become the X-men, they were teenagers too, they just extrapolated that concept to a modern setting and made them go to a public school rather than exclusively Xavier's school. Wolverine, Mystique, Magneto, etc. were all still adults because that is their appropriate characterization. The show worked well in that sense.

I'm sorry, but this is a really stupid idea for a show, and I'm glad it got canned. The artwork only looks decent, not great.

There was ever only one high school Batman, and his name was Terry Mcginis.

Very good designs. The creativity behind this was very clever.

That said, I don't know if a series would work...but I'd definitely be on board with this as a DC Animated DVD film. Or even a series of shorts in front of the DCA films.

I'd bet if you guys found some friends with or developed some animation talents, you could make a very successful online fan series! That's definitely a show I would LOVE to voice act in :D

Covert_Avenger said...

If this ever gets made, I'd def. watch it. Here r some ideas:

Principal Hugo Strange

Episodes:
Bruce joins the wrestling team and has to face BANE.

Clark transfers to Gotham High and one ups Bruce in everything, so Bruce teams up with Joker to pull a prank on Clark during a school rally.

The school gets a Big Brother program with Bruce mentoring Tim Drake.

Halloween episode with Scarecrow in charge of the Gotham High Halloween Maze.

April Fool's episode where everyone knows all of Joker's pranks so he goes in search of the ultimate prank.

Anonymous said...

Not so sure about having all of these characters in their post-origin story modes already (So Fries is blue but doesn't need a suit? A 15 year old Dent has had acid thrown in his face? The Joker in high school already looks like that? Also, he has to have a NAME to be in high school right?)

But I will say that cheerleader Poison Ivy and Harley made my week.

Anonymous said...

I have a few ideas for the relationships for the kids:Selina has been watching Johnathan's back since grade school. Matt feels he's surrounded by total philistines and is a constant target of Jay's pranks and Waylon and Bane's bullying along with Ozzy and Edward.Babs and Selina clash constantly and it only it gets worse when Bruce shows up.Harley is constantly manipulated by Jay and is in denial about it.Pamela her best friend is running for class president against Harvey and we begin to see shades of Two-Face as the season moves along.Victor is the ultimate cool kid.I would like to see a Gotham High Talia and Vickie Vale.Just a great concept guys you should at least pitch this as a one shot.

Wow. Some of you people in the comments who are bashing this apparently take your precious comic books waaaay too seriously. It should be obvious that this isn't meant to be a serious take on Batman. All the talk about "canon" and "ruining the Batman image" and whatever just makes me snicker derisively.

Anonymous said...

I think this would make a rockin' webcomic over a tv show. Its not cannon, whatever, but it looks fun and quirky so who cares? :D

PS That Riddler is adorkable.

Anonymous said...

HORRIBLE! The art work is great but the idea just isn't right! NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! We dodged a bullet on that one!

MamaSarah said...

i love this i really do, its creative and i am sure that you will do it very well. If it can be done at all. I just wonder how well it would go over with the die-hard Batman fans out there. of which i am not one, i am a fan, but haven't followed the original story much. Weren't alot of these villians developed as a result of a run in with Batman as Batman? i mean as an adult? so would these be the people they were before they became phycotic and malformed? or would they be kid versions of psychos? which actually just makes the concept scarier! lol either way i hope you are able to go forward with this and am eager to see how it all plays out.

Anonymous said...

This should totally be made into a show. Maybe you should try resubmitting it again?

Also, from looking at some of the previous comments, all I can say is "haters gonna hate."

Anonymous said...

I like the artwork, but the concept of just shoving Batman villains into a high school with Bruce is absurd. The whole reason most of the villains are who they are are their psychoses. The Joker, for instance is a psychopathic killer with no remorse and no shred of sanity. To place him into a high school situation would only end with more deaths than the concept for a show like this could handle. The concept is possibly a good one, minus the comic book villains. Give it some more workable characters and you would have a good show.

Anonymous said...

This could be a fun one-shot, along the theme of the various vampire/zombie/alternate location/alternate era/whatever one-shots that have come before. Not really a series, though, fun though the designs undoubtedly are.

It's very, very cute and hilarious and I'd love to see it exist as some sort of webcomic or one shot DVD movie or a series of shorts found as extras on DVD DC movies or run before currently airing DC cartoon shows.

But I would not want this as an actual TV series. It just doesn't work in anyway I can imagine in that format. If it's melodramatic and high school drama-y it's going to suck right off the bat(no bun intended). If it's satire it's going to get boring real quick.

Really cute though, try to get this made. As a movie or series of shorts! Not an actual show!

Good luck on other projects too!

Great, great idea and bloody fantastic sketches. Wish this would have made it through the Warners machine. Or maybe it still will, some day...

Hope the rabid fanboy negativity in this thread (which, a few decades ago, might have been mine) doesn't get you down. While it's great for fans to protect "their" interests, so to speak, it's even better when they can see that not everything different is pissing on the Wayne family crypt. Your work here is a celebration of the mythos, not a mocking of it.

This could have been a breath of fresh (alt) air for Bats, an exception to whatever continuity DC/Warners claim to be following now, and a damned good time.

Here's wishing some assistant at Warners TV will dig it up and make a name for him/herself by getting it done.

Thanks for the great images and ideas. Rock on.

This is a great idea for a series on something like Cartoon Network, or maybe a Webcomic or Webanimation. But not as a serious show.

Still, this is really cool. I made the banner my background just because I liked the artwork and I really like how you did Catwoman and Scarecrow. I think Harvey would look a little different, like the Political Pretty Boy and the Bad Boy Bully but still, this could be done.

Great work!

Anonymous said...

I was thinking that this could be done in an alternate universe (part of the multiverse).to all the people that say the idea sucks asalud stick with your batman but I like it when someone comes up with a satirical version of characters that we've all come to know and love. The only characters that I think need redesigning are Scarecrow, Clayface, and Harvey's pants.I also kinda would love it if the show/or webcomic featured a Long Halloween storyline. I also cant get the image of RasGhul as principal and Hugo Strange as a teacher. Also would be interesting to see more minor villains in, such as the Tetch, and hehe Calenderman Bottom Line I would watch it

Anybody commenting on how "Gotham High" doesn't fit into the established timeline obviously knows something about the overall narrative of Batman, but nothing about superhero comics in general.

Or do they still consider the original comics, the Adam West TV series, the Superfriends, the two mediocre Batman films starring Michael Keaton, the crap film with Val Kilmer, the Film-That-Must-Not-Be-Named starring George Clooney and the former governor of California, the Batman cartoon uncreatively named "The Batman," the inexplicable Brave and the Bold with Diedrich Bader, and the two excellent Christopher Nolan fIlms are all simultaneously existing within the canonical timeline.

Gotham High would stand alone in it's own timeline, like any of a hundred other sidestories that branch off the pointy-eared cash cow that is the Batman franchise.

You know, crazy as this sounds, as long as they treated this like a totally alternate universe to the real mythos, it's fun to imagine just how it would have turned out.

Yes, we all know Harvey Dent wasn't Two-Face until he was about 40, and Waylon Jones only slowly and progressively became Killer Croc, and on and on and on... most of these guys didn't lose their minds until mid-life, and some of them wouldn't even be the right age at the same time.

But if they pulled it right, and didn't try to integrate it with the original too hard, it would be so cool.

The theory WORKS. How the hell does Bruce maintain his altruism surrounded by psychos, freaks and bullies? Especially after his parents just died. If he managed it, why'd so many of these guys go so bad? Were characters like Two-Face always obsessed with the coin or did it start there?

Man, my faves have always been Two-Face (both sides) and Killer Croc because I'm weird like that.

I think, (based on the style of the character's designs and the very same pictures we can see here) that it would be nothing more than a comedy series, and OBVIOUSLY not be canon. But it seems that NO ONE of the detractors could think abut it, right? <3
Also, this would be ideal for a webcomic, and if no one makes it, I will xD

Yah no. This can't work. No, No, No, this hurts my brain. This is why we have junk like twilight still hanging around. Why ruin the thing that made Batman great?

To hell with the haters, man, this show looks like it would be awesome. DC broke a lot of hearts the day they passed this over.

Just the love and care you took in transcribing these characters to a recognizable form while also instantly identifying them in just those few still-shots as to what part of the high school food chain they would be on, I would definitely trust you guys to keep from this turning into crap. So sad this isn't happening, eternal tears, eternally.

Please, please, please make this again... Seriously, I'm going to post this everywhere. I love the way you did everyone, especially the Joker (Sorry, Jay). Please make sure you get this everywhere people.

And to everyone else that's being negative, it would work, may not be as dark, but it would work. Just because the lore isn't there (Well it could be) doesn't mean it couldn't bee good.

Good luck guys! :D

i must see this happen i think it would be awesome to see and its a great new pin on batman who do i have to bug to make this happen

First off, I love the style and character designs. They are really cool and fun to imagine... BUT I would never want this to be a show. I think it just wouldn't fit with the Batman Franchise. Seriously, Batman tends to lean more on the dark more serious side of things, this is just more of a fangirl fantasy gone wrong.

It works for Young Justice because that is the characters! They are all fairly Young Heroes. All Young Justice is doing is changing the art style but they are animating the personality they were designed with into a story that would be fitting to their world.

Please make this!! it looks so amazing!

WHY DIDN'T THIS HAPPEN D: !? This was a great idea!

Filip said...

Well, with all this positive feedback, why not give the show another chance at being created!? It would open up new storylines and answer many questions. It would also open up Batman to a more younger audiance. This would of been a great show! Is there any way Jeff and Celeste can reapproach to DC and make it?

Jervis Tetch said...

I just came across this randomly, but by God I wish this was made. I mean, it seems ridiculous at first glance, but it'd actually make for a great TV show!

All i have to say is why the hell not this..this would have been a hit i would have watched this all the time you guys should bring it back to DC and show them all the good reviews and show them wat a mistake they made

I geeked out the first time I saw the panoramic "cast" photo and the Joker & Harley "Class Clown" photo. I would seriously blow those up to frameable size, get them professioally matted, and show those off in all their glory. The idea of a book with all sorts of stills from the show and teaser posters would rock. I also agree that it should at least be made into a series or at least a direct to dvd or Cartoon Newtwork movie.

Anonymous said...

I feel you should air it in stead of Beware the Batman.I think Gotham high would be amazing and ignore all the Haters. This inspired me so much I wrote a book about Gotham High. You shouldn't let anything or anyone get in your way.I felt that maybe the rest of the world should hear it.I started something on facebook.Batman Gotham High.Gothamhigh/Facebook.Maybe if you heard 1,000,000,000 others then you could air it.Dont lisen to people who hate.Go with your gut and air it. Thanks.Meow

I LOVE the way Killer Croc is portrayed. he looks freakin' badass. Just Gotham High makes me want to watch it 24/7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kyle Gaywoos said...

When I first saw it I snickered. But after letting it settle and watching Clone High again. I think it is an amusing idea. Don't take batman so seriously people, Jesus. It's not the most original idea but if it's done well, with the dark elements and tones, but still light hearted, it could be one of those runaway hits.

Though I don't know how the stories would be formed. But seriously I want to see this grow.

Anonymous said...

To be perfectly, honest, this looks like bit a wasted and somewhat amusing show! They could have made it both humorous and somewhat dark, like establishing what gave Crane his obsession with fear (high school bullies) or Fries and wanting to keep life eternal (by freezing it). Sure, the established canon of things would have taken a knock a bit (wasn't Bane in prison as a teenager?)
But hey, didn't Batman The Animated Series do that with Harvey Dent and his origins, as well as Fries and his new tragic background. Everyone loves that show!
I reckon a hybrid of humour and darkness could well have made this show work and I am sincerely hoping that someone will pick up on the idea, because I'd sure as hell give it a go!

Anonymous said...

you need to make it now!!!!!!!!! see if they have room this year

Anonymous said...

I would have paid to see this. It would be an awesome idea. If nothing else, it looks like it would be a great alternate timeline one-shot to the batman mythos.

Vicky said...

Shame this didn't go through! I love the idea and the character drawings. I wish there was more art too! I'd totally buy some prints :D

Anonymous said...

Looks Epic. Some People (Mostly Batman Nerds) Would Hate It For Being Too Fake But As I See It It's One Of Those "What If..." Worlds Batman Comics Sometimes Have That Show What WOULD Happen If They All Went To High School Togather-Something Non-Cannon But Interesting. Anyway Peace.

Unknown said...

Wow! I BEG OF YOU PLEASE MAKE THIS!!! I love Batman, he is badass, but honestly it is the villains that make him! Anyone ever tried watching the original series? The one from 1966 where Batman runs around saving Gotham dressed in satin underwear? Best line of the series?
"Quick, Robin! what has yellow skin and can write?"
".....a ball-point banana!"
"Exactly!"
They sure were creative.........any who! Throwback moment aside, I know it has been awhile since this idea came about but better late than never! I would for sure buy prints of this or a comic!

Anonymous said...

i know its been a while since you guys posted this but it seem s like something that could so awesome i show these pics to my boyfriend and his friends who are huge batman fans and we all agree that this show could be a hit if done right and put on the right network i really hope you consider trying to get it on the air we would even be willing to sign a petition on the shows behalf as im sure many other fans would

Shiro said...

i admit that this could easily be done very poorly, but it also has SO much potential. i think it'd have been better to risk it.

actually... looking at your other stuff... my confidence has grown. this would've been excellent.

if i may offer my thoughts: to best maintain stability for the longest period of time, because of the small selection of heroes and huge number of villains, the villains would probably have to be "good" guys now and again - even if it is just to serve their own ends. this would help the viewer look past why the school merely suspends/detentions/etc. rather than throw them in prison/Arkham.

Anonymous said...

Please, please this show has to be made it would be awesome to see batman in high school with the villians there to create chaos.even if you only make it a youtube series i would still watch it.

Anonymous said...

I'm curious about Mr Freeze, I mean is his "girlfriend" Nora at this point, dead? Or.. frozen... Or is he just meeting her for the first time and is going all "love at first sight" with her. And then later on would she die? Cause I mean, I would love to see how they first met, It'd be so cute <3

I don't really think this would do good as a show to be honest as it would be giving kids growing up a sense that Batman and everyone else are high schoolers. I mean every generation has to have a Batman show showing the characters as who they are. 60's had campy Batman which was true to how much of the Silver Age of comics were when it came to Bats. 70's had the New Batman Adventures which showed them as animated characters for the first time. 80's had all the Super Friends spin offs. 90's had BTAS which was the first to make you actually feel sympathy for Batman and the villians and lasted until mid 2000's in the form of the Justice League. 2000's had The Batman which didn't totally give us the characters in the right way, but still did its job. Brave and the Bold which lasted from late 00's to early 10's was right since it went with the Silver Age. And currently a show called Beware of the Batman is going though doesn't sound right it does seem a bit darker and includes lesser known villains big time.

Though I say this I think this would work great as a series of joke comics for the children comics DC publishes.

My curious question is: What about the Robins? They should be rambunctious kids that Batman babysits in the orphanage as community service. Jason Todd likes to ride a big wheel tricycle, Dick likes birds, Tim gets in the wrong crowd with the Joker. Also what about Talia and Ra's. Ra's should be a teacher or the principal. Dude, seriously this as a lot of potential and it is making me all giddy for it to happen. <3

It really sounds fun! I'd love to see it turned into a web comic. But where the heck are the Robins? I mean, if you were able to change Barbara Gordon's age, why not include the other characters as well? It would be great to found Dick, Jason and Tim (and maybe even Damien) in here, as classmates/friends of Bruce or even toddlers! Just because they play such an important role in batman's life within the comics. Please!

This would be great as one of those DC Nation shorts on Cartoon Network right now. I really wanna see this...

You are brilliant!! I am a HUGE Batman fan and I think that the idea of this show is complete and utter AWESOMENESS!! I would DEFINATELY watch this! Though I would prefer to see some of Bruce's actual love interests (such as Talia al Ghul, Vicky Vale, Silver St. Cloud, etc.) in place of Barbara Gordan. And I agree with one of the above coments (I think it was TIGERMAN?) that Harvey's look should be half Political Pretty Boy and half Bad Boy. Whether you made these changes or not, I would still watch it. And I know for a FACT (based on the art and the very concept of Batman in highschool) that I would love this show. And I know plenty of others who would, too. Please, for the sake of all your potential fans, resubmit this! DC would be BEYOND imbecilic if they didn't at least give this show a chance!

Anonymous said...

this really DOES need to exist in the world. And I mean like, TOMORROW.

Anonymous said...

So...... is there anyway to make this show happen? I love superheros and villains, and to put them in high school would be awesome! Waylon Jones "Croc" is probably my favorite villain and to see him in school would make my day. We need to make this happen as soon as possible! I would love everyone forever

Anonymous said...

Is there a way to make a poll or survey to make this show happen? I think a lot of people would watch this show and love it! The art looks amazing and who doesn't love batman? Crazy people, that's who.

Anonymous said...

Seriously, I will make a poll and get as many signatures as I can to make this show happen. If they want peoples opinion about starting this show I will gladly get peoples opinions!
